How to deal or report spam on our systems

Althouth we try to remove most of the spam that we receive before it gets to your mailbox, unfortunately there are times where certain mails that get through. The reason for this is one of two reasons:

a) the email is from a valid company and we cannot discern if the mail was subscribed to or not.
b) The email is either a new format never seen before or is very close to legal mails that we are unsure if the mail is a legal mail or not, typical is where scammers take a legal bank mail, and modify it with one line of information and the link they use changes every email created.

If the email is blatant spam please forward the email to spam@hostworx.co.za. We manually go through these emails and adjust filters to begin blocking this email, however we need to be made aware of the mails, ie forwarding them to spam@hostworx.co.za before we can begin to make adjustments, so the more of them you send the quicker these mails will be blocked.
you also can login to the webmail interface, ie http://webmail.yourowndomain <- put your own domain in, and use your email address and password to login, you can mark the emails in the inbox as spam or not spam, this will also begin to filter the mails.

If the email is a south african company sending you unsolicited messages, you can send this template to them asking them to provide you with the information as per the south african ECT and POPI acts. This also will make them think a bit more seriously about using your email addresses.
As a last resort please email support@hostworx.co.za so we can help you further.
