What is FIXED LTE or LTE-Advanced ?

Fixed LTE is the latest offering from various providers offering internet access across an LTE or LTE-Advanced data network.
There nice part of this is you dont need a telephone line, you can move the router between locations easily. You can enjoy speeds of upto 69Mbps depending on your location. The price per GB of dat is releatively low and over time will certainly come down even further..

Do I Have to rica my sim ?

Yes, you need to provide HostworX with an electronic copy of your ID and proof of address that is less than three months old. Once you have ordered, you will automatically be prompted by email to RICA, the documents can then be uploaded in our Customer Zone.

You will also be required to have a copy of your ID and proof of residence available when your SIM is delivered, and you (the account holder) must sign for it in person. The documents you present to the courier must match the documents you have provided electronically.

Are Contracts involved ? / Routers

We dont do long contracts. If for whatever reason you wish to cancel, all that is required is a calendar months notice.

With regards to routers, you can either: use your own or purchase a router up front or get a free to use router on 100Gb + accounts, but remember that your router is free-to-use, so if you cancel within 12 months, you will have to either buy it or send it back to us in its original condition & packaging.

Sim Only option.

Our Cell C Fixed LTE SIM works in any LTE enabled router. There is a service fee for the sim provisioning however.

Can I move my Fixed LTE Service

Going on holiday ? Pack up your router and take it with you. Fixed LTE works anywhere within the infrastructure providers coverage area ( check with us at any time to see if your destination is covered). Fixed LTE can take up to 24 hours to connect to the new tower if you do move it.

What speeds does LTE-A give me ?

Speeds of up to 40Mbps and higher ave been seen, depending on various factors (proximity to lte tower, where the router is placed in the home, interference from Mother Nature etc). On average our customers get around 20Mbps

Can I Upgrade or downgrade my LTE-A ?

Upgrades are free and are scheduled for the end of the month. You can top-up at any time while you wait for your upgrade. Downgrades on the Cell C network are scheduled for month end.

Does my topup data expire


On Cell C packages your top-up data expires 30 days from the date of purchase.

Does Unused monthly data roll over?

On Cell C packages: Unused data does not roll over to the next month.

Delivery of Service & Activation / Cancellation

Normally 3 to 5 business days after you have successfully RICAed (Stock dependant).

The SIM will automatically activate within 24 hours after delivery, provided it is inserted into your router. IMPORTANT: If you fail to insert the SIM into the router and turn it on in the first 24 hours- it will not activate and your service will be cancelled

All our LTE packages are month-to-month, so you only need to give one calendar month’s notice in order to cancel your data plan. This means when you cancel you will be charged for the next month, cancellation must be done via the client area, not via email.
